Celebrating 45 Years

Greenberry was founded in 1974 by Vietnam veteran and former Corvallis High School and Oregon State University football player Robert Pond as Greenberry Tank & Iron. The name comes from a wide spot in the road just south of Corvallis, Oregon called Greenberry. The company focused on building storage tanks and structural steel for the agricultural and commercial industries in the Willamette Valley and the Portland area. It also was an early preferred provider to major players in the region’s thriving pulp and paper industry, including Georgia-Pacific, Weyerhaeuser, and Willamette Industries. Built on a foundation of integrity, honest relationships, and delivering value, Greenberry realized the importance of earning repeat business opportunities. In 1999, management of the family business was passed on to the 2nd generation as Jason Pond, also a Corvallis High School graduate, assumed a leadership role from the founder. Over the next 10 years, a focus on safety and quality saw Greenberry undergo significant expansion in new geographic regions in the Western US and Canada and entering new sectors such as oil & gas, nuclear power, and aerospace. In January 2015, Greenberry became a wholly-owned subsidiary of North American Energy Services – (NAES).

Today, Greenberry is a national industrial contractor and fabricator of major projects, working for the federal government and Fortune 500 Industrial clients who have stringent quality and safety standards. Working in Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, Industrial Manufacturing, Nuclear, and Power Generation industries, it has a 45-year track record of being a trusted partner in the success of its clients’ businesses by treating every project like it is a shareholder in their business. Greenberry is an award-winning firm known for safety, quality, professionalism, work ethic, and teamwork while working on highly specialized, multi-faceted industrial projects throughout the U.S. Greenberry is proud to say its managers and employees boast some of the highest longevity in the construction industry. Over 40 team members have been with the company more than 10 years, including many for more than 20 years and 30 years.
