New Fabrication General Manager Builds Greenberry’s Leadership Team

Greenberry announced today that Robert (Rob) Cowling has joined the company as our Fabrication General Manager to further develop the growing fabrication portfolio in the Pacific Northwest. Rob comes with a wealth of experience in the industry, mainly in high-alloy steel fabrication, and is an expert in the design and fabrication of shell and tube heat exchangers and pressure vessels. He will manage the fabrication facilities in the Northwest and lead all workload, crews, backlog, profit and loss, oversee engineering, fabrication estimating as well as generate new fabrication business development.

Rob has worked in the fabrication industry for over 30 years. He came to us from Northwest Copper Works, where he was General Manager for six years. Prior to that, he served as the General Manager of the Pressure Vessel Division at Marks Brothers. Rob began his career as a shop worker, functioning as a Boiler Maker and Iron Worker for over 18 years. Through hard work and perseverance, he put himself through college earning a mechanical engineering degree while working full time. Rob went on to become a licensed, professional mechanical engineer. His practical knowledge has made him a successful General Manager.

Rob is a native Oregonian and enjoys the outdoors as an active fly fisherman and hiker. He and his wife are self-described foodies and enjoy the Portland food scene.

Rob is excited to work for Greenberry due to the diversity of projects that Greenberry constructs. He will report directly to Jason Pond, President. Jason said, “Rob’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the Greenberry family. We view his hiring as a sign of our commitment to be the leading company in our industry.”
