Greenberry is proud to have two outstanding Phenoms Under 40 award recipients in the Daily Journal of Commerce (DJC) inaugural Phenoms & Icons awards program: Eli Chisholm and Chase Oyler.
While young by industry standards, these two project managers have managed some of the largest projects that Greenberry has completed in recent years. This award recognized the up-and-coming generation of professionals who will take the lead on shaping the building industry’s future in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The award competition was open to any professional under the age of 40 who works in the building industry.
Eli Chisholm has worked for Greenberry for the past 18 years after working his way through Oregon State University. He was the first in his family to graduate from college and since joining the company has earned a reputation for his ability to handle unique and difficult projects. The depth of his experience provides him with a seamless perspective that allows him to effectively address issues that may arise on a project. Eli also has strong communication skills which allow him to easily shift between tasks, from managing craft workers on a project site to helping a new client understand the design-build process as well as ongoing maintenance. “I would say the most important thing is to never become complacent and always continue to look for things that can make us more efficient and productive in the wonderful weather that makes Oregon green,” Chisholm said. “The industry is ever-changing and new things are coming out all the time. Don’t be afraid of trying something new.”
Chase Oyler joined Greenberry shortly after graduating from Oregon State University with a dual focus degree in engineering and business. He has been with the company for five years and in that short amount of time, he has built a reputation as a go-getter who has worked to improve communication between craft employees in the field with the fabrication shop. He has a solid work ethic and leadership skills which make him a strong project manager for Greenberry. In his current role as a Project Manager, Chase has played a key role in helping the company build our project portfolio including the award-winning, $18 million International Paper headbox replacement project. His ability to build strong client relationships also helped Greenberry grow its project portfolio with International Paper in Springfield, OR from $1 million to more than $25 million.
On December 14, 2017, the DJC Phenoms & Icons awards program was held in downtown Portland to honor the recipients. Greenberry’s leadership team was on hand to celebrate with these phenomenal Greenberry employees. The awards were developed by DJC with a simple goal: to bring together people of different generations to learn about each other, forge relationships and create better lines of communication.
Amazingly, Greenberry is the only contractor with two award recipients. That says a lot about us as a company. Greenberry is proud of Eli and Chase’s accomplishments and looks forward to their continued growth within the company and industry.
